Privacy Disclosure Statement
Your privacy is important to me and maintaining your trust and confidence is one of my highest priorities. A recent law requires me to disclose my Privacy Policy to you. I hope that you will take a few moments to read it, you will have a better understanding of what is done with the non-public information you provide me and how I keep it private and secure.
TYPES OF INFORMATION COLLECTED
Certain non-public information is collected about you but only when that information is provided by you or obtained by me with your authorization. I use that information to prepare your personal budget and advise you about money management issues.
Examples of sources from which I collect information include:
- Interviews and phone calls with you
- Letters or e-mails from you
- Tax returns prepared by others
- Financial information questionnaires
- Reports from credit reporting agencies
- Review of your bank statements, credit card statements, loan statements, paid bill files and legal documents supplied by you.
CONFIDENTIALITLY AND SECURITY OF NON-PUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION
Except as otherwise described in this notice, non-public information about you is handled exclusively by me. In addition, I also maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in compliance with my professions’ best practices procedures. In most instances I will return your hard copy original documents.
PARTIES TO WHOM INFORMATION MAY BE DISCLOSED
As a general rule, I do not disclose personal non-public information about clients or former clients to anyone including other family members unless authorized by you in writing. However, to the extent required by law and any applicable Code of Professional Conduct, certain non-public Information about you may be disclosed to comply with a validly issued and enforceable subpoena or summons.
